On the day before the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, 16 August 2019, the BNI Bank launched a new application for educational institutions at the Frater Don Bosco High School in Manado.
The digital service is called BNI Education Parental Control, abbreviated as “BNI eduPATROL”. With this service, teachers, employees and students of the Brother Don Bosco School in Manado can follow the activities at the school via their smartphone.
An accessible school
The BNI eduPATROL application makes communication between the school and parents a lot easier and more accessible. Correspondence to parents is no longer via letters but via this digital application. Through eduPATROL, parents can also follow the development of children at school, and the headmaster can monitor the presence of students, teachers and staff at the school, even if he is not present himself. In addition, BNI eduPATROL is integrated with the school’s bank account so that it is easy for parents to pay the tuition fees. Other school invoices can also be paid via this application on the smartphone.
A good example
“With BNI eduPATROL, the Frater Don Bosco School in Manado is a good example of the positive development of schools in the digital age,” said Brother Bruno Maing, president of the Don Bosco Manado Foundation. Mr. Dandy Perwandi Sjamsudin, vice president of BNI Manado, declared that this collaboration is a form of BNI’s commitment to “support the school in the transition to the ‘Go Digital’ era in school management.”
The implementation of BNI eduPATROL at the Frater Don Bosco School in Manado is the first digital institution service in North Sulawesi. The Frater Don Bosco School was eligible for this because it is one of the leading schools in the implementation of digitization.
Collaboration in the digital age
The headmaster of the school is happy with the collaboration with BNI. According to him, the use of technology is a necessity. Students are already familiar with the use of smartphones, and the schools and parents cannot stay behind. “The BNI eduPATROL application helps us enormously in supporting and developing the school. The application is very versatile: for financial management, attendance control, insight into the progress of students, and communication between the school, students and parents. This is exactly what we need to support the transition of education to the digital age.” The headmaster expressed his gratitude to all parties involved in implementing the BNI eduPATROL application.
