Dialogues on CMM history, spirituality and identity

From 12 to 17 June 2023, 28 brothers from Indonesia attended an in-depth course on the history of the congregation, provided by study secretary Charles van Leeuwen. Br. Ronald Randang took care of translations. The workshops took place in Tomohon.

Provincial Superior Brother Philipus Weridity expressed his gratitude for the initiative of the General Board in The Netherlands to offer this course in Indonesia. The purpose of the course was to learn more about the history, spirituality and heritage bequeathed by Founder Joannes Zwijsen. Charles van Leeuwen, study secretary of the General Board of the Brothers CMM, has been researching the history and spirituality of the brothers for quite some time, and published several articles and books on the subject. There was plenty of room for questions and discussion during the workshops.

The provincial superior expressed his hope that through this workshop the brothers will be able to live, feel and love their congregation even more. In addition, the participants can become mentors for their fellow brothers who could not attend this course.
