On Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19, 2021, the General Chapter discussed about a number of important aspects of our life: Apostolate, Formation, Communication and Heritage and Archives. We shared about opportunities and threats, strengths and weaknesses and we formulated recommendations to the new general board and provincial and regional boards with regard to these aspects.
We do realize that, during the past board-period, despite challenges, a lot has been achieved. And that was only possible with the dedication and effort of many brothers: in the schools, hostels, formation houses, health care, social projects, pastoral work, et cetera. But also by brothers working in internal structures: in assisting boards, in house hold, community boards, et cetera.
The General Chapter wants to express its gratitude toward all the brothers worldwide who made their contribution, for the wellbeing of the congregation. We are grateful for their support to fellow-brothers and to the people they served.
But the General Chapter is also grateful for all the work that has been done by co-workers: management staff, teachers, nurses, cooks, cleaning staff, et cetera. We appreciate very much their dedication. Through their service they help the congregation achieving its goal. In this respect they share in our mission and we are grateful for it.
