In the Tools to Work workplace in Teteringen (the Netherlands), tools and machines are refurbished and overhauled by expert volunteers, together with people with a distance to the labour market. These quality tools are then delivered on request to project organizations in Africa.
Despite restrictions related to Covid-19, Tools to Work has already shipped three full containers this year and the fourth one is ready to be shipped. One of those containers was destined for the Father Grol’s Welfare Trust.
On June 13, 2020 the container arrived in Nairobi. The revised tools and machines will be distributed to ex-prisoners who, after professional training during their detention, have started their own enterprise. Also after their detention period, these starting entrepreneurs are guided by the Father Grol’s Welfare Trust.
