Becora, 30 May 2021.
We bring all praise and gratitude to the most merciful God, because He has called us and is always faithfully present to take care of our lives. Even in times of crisis due to COVID-19, these eleven young brothers are still enthusiastic and can heartily say “YES” to God’s call. They are ready to renew their religious vows.
Prior to the renewal of vows there were three days of reflection and contemplation led by Brother Silvino Freitas Belo. The young brothers were very enthusiastic about the reflection material. The main theme of the Triduum for the renewal of vows in 2021 was “Young Religious Witnessing the Joy of the Gospel”.
The Triduum began with an opening service on May 26, 2021. The opening service was led by Brother Flaviano. Each morning there was a Eucharistic celebration. In his homily, Pastor Bertos, CMF invited the brothers to get to know the Congregation well, to love it and to serve it. There was a word of thanks for the Provincial Spirituality Commission in Indonesia for their cooperation in organizing the Triduum for the Renewal of Vows.
The Eucharist on Sunday 30 May coincided with the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity. The renewal of vows was led by Pastor Carlito da Costa Araujo, OCarm, accompanied by three concelebrants, Pastor Yohanes Suban, SVD, Pastor Bertos, CMF, Pastor Paul, SVD. Brother Silvino Freitas Belo, CMM acted on behalf of the Superior General to accept the renewed vows of the junior brothers. Brother Cancio Gama and Father Carlito da Costa, OCARM were witnesses.
