“The best exercise for the heart is reaching down and lifting people up.”
Thanks to CMM brothers in Oyugis Integrated Project for giving this opportunity for the youth – especially young girls – to find hope for the future.
The Youth empowerment program was initiated last year for school leavers and dropouts. It was started to give simple skills to the girls to help them to be self-sustained and self-employed. Most of our girls are victims of early pregnancies.
The program has made a step since we started with few girls and now we have fifteen girls who are very dedicated. With that we have managed to make mats, woollen table clothes and door mats. These are simple skills which require less capital to start their own business. We are also training them dressmaking, entrepreneurship and peer counselling.
Our vision is to help end the cycle of poverty in families.
