Belo Horizonte (Brazil), December 2018 – On December 20, 2018, Colégio Padre Eustáquio (the brothers’ school) welcomed a group of children, adolescents, educators and a volunteer of Cidade dos Meninos (a village for youth) to Belo Horizonte. Together they were 27 people. Fráter Dominikus Kono Tjeunfin CMM, director of FUNCELFA (Fabrician Community Foundation), tells about the purpose of the visit: “we want to offer them some recreation activity, and to give them the opportunity to go out of their routines and get to know the city of Belo Horizonte with some of its important sites.”
In Belo Horizonte, they stayed at the Colégio Padre Eustáquio for breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight. On the first day, they visited the Museum of Natural History and the Botanical Garden of UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais), and Pampulha’s Lake. At night, the group went to Praça de Liberdade (Liberty Square) to enjoy the Christmas lights. On the second day, they visited the Municipal Park of Belo Horizonte and Delrey Shopping. After that, one great experience richer, they returned home, to Cidade dos Meninos in Coronel Fabriciano.
